What To Bring With You?
If you are attending due to any sort of foot pain it is likely that the podiatrist will perform a biomechanical assessment. In order to get the most out of of this assessment, please bring or wear a pair of shorts or pants that can be easily rolled up so that your podiatrist can properly assess you from the knee down. If you have any scans or previous reports or referrals please bring them with you, as these may be helpful. Additionally, if you could bring a few pairs of the shoes that you wear most often, including runners, work shoes, or a commonly worn pair of casual shoes, please bring them with you so that your podiatrist can assess them. If you have a pair of old orthotics please bring those to your appointment as well.
Please bring your medicare card, DVA Gold card or White Card, or Private Health Fund Card, as you may be eligible for a rebate, or bulk billing.
If you have a chronic health condition that affects your ability to care for your feet, or the health of your feet then you may be eligible for an Enhanced Primary Care plan through your general practitioner. If you have one of these referrals or are a DVA gold card patient, you are eligible to be bulk billed, and there is no gap to pay on your appointment fees. Visit your GP to see if this is an option for you.
Depending on the location you are seen at, we will be able to give you your rebate, through our HICAPS or Tyro terminal. If you have your bank details set up with medicare then we can also process your bulk-billed payment or rebate online and it will be back in your account within 2-3 business days. Please give us a call for more information on this.
